Professional Status
Mr. Blanco has a wide range of experience in projects ranging from residential wood frame structures to commercial buildings. His formal education was completed in Canada where there is a strong tradition of building enclosure training and degree programs aimed specifically toward architectural technology. Having grown up and worked in Ottawa, Ontario, he is experienced in cold weather design.
Mr. Blanco investigates building envelope failures, directs destructive testing, designs remedial and new waterproofing solutions, and provides contract administration services. He has performed dozens of ASTM E-1105 water infiltration tests on windows and doors for new and existing construction.
Mr. Blanco has worked in the construction industry with a focus on wood frame construction, including remedial repairs and renovations. He has a good understanding of the building process and building technology.
